The Word of God is full of several examples of what the power of praise can accomplish in our lives from awesome miracles to amazing victories over life situations and a reawakening of our love for the Lord. Yet, it is true that sometimes we may be so overwhelmed by issues and circumstances that it can really be a deep sacrifice to praise and worship God. The fact may be that we do not feel like it and that we are barely hanging in there.

To be candid, sometimes we feel like He has let us down, how can a loving God allow such and such to happen, how can he allow my Dad to die when I needed him most, and then while I am still grappling with that, He takes my Sister also. How? The pain is real, the loss is unquantifiable, and we think, God could have prevented all that if He really cared.

In times like these, it takes a firm decision to say, “In spite of it all, I will still praise Him”, and to daily worship Him even when the tears flow unabated, is to declare to Him that even when you don’t understand at all what He is doing, yet, you trust Him and will declare that He is worthy of your Worship.
