No Parking
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31
Driving in some part of the city, it’s always difficult to get a parking space, you see a likely space and just as you are about to park, you notice the sign – ‘No Parking’, or a security official comes to tell you that it’s reserved for emergencies or something like that.
The Christian life can be like that too. There are times when we want to stop and park, but God intends for us to keep marching forward and to keep making progress.
In Philippians 3:13, Paul said, “No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead”
So God is here urging you not to rest on your laurels, the success you have achieved irrespective.
So when you feel like just parking, quitting, resigning, retiring, or just leaving an assignment, don’t simply drop the ball or walk away, rather search within and with God, there is mostly a ‘No Parking’ sign, so keep moving! Keep at it!
Encourage yourself, renew your commitment and stay devoted. God sees your labour of love, He cares and He will surely reward you.
