Christ’s Fragrance
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14-15
Roses are undoubtedly the most popular pleasant smelling flower in the world. There are more than 100 different species of roses and this beautiful flower is one of most common flower that can be found in almost every garden.
Though there are other beautiful flowers but the fragrance of the rose makes distinguishes and makes it even more unique.
There is a sweet smell we enjoy when we are in fellowship with Jesus. There is that pleasing aroma of the knowledge of Him that radiates all around us as we spend time with Him in fellowship.
When we lift our hands in praise and worship, we break spiritual jars of perfume over Jesus. The fragrance of our praise rises to heaven and touches the heart of God.
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2
