Keep Planting In Faith
“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness” 2 Corinthians 9:10
Having Faith is similar to working in a garden. No matter how hard you work, your efforts alone will not force plants to grow! You do your part by carefully preparing the ground, and then planting, watering, and fertilizing and then wait and trust that God will do His part to cause the growth.
You have taken the faith leap, and now you let God do His thing.
You trust that God will provide the sunlight and every other thing needed to bring the growth and increase.
So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 1 Corinthians 3:7
We can’t do it alone, but we have an important role to play. We plant and trust. It is a choice we make, a combination of action (planting) and faith (trusting) that moves the results out of our hands and into God’s.
Psalm 104:14 says He makes grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate, bringing forth food from the earth:
As we continually plant our seed in prayer, word, worship, and giving, God will cause it all to multiply and grow to the glory of His name. Amen
