Align Your Focus
“Look to the Lord and his strength.” 1 Chronicle 16:11
What thoughts occupy your mind? What thoughts do you dwell on? For instance, if you are facing pressures concerning an issue, your thoughts most likely dwells on it.
If you review your day, such issues are most likely what consumes your thoughts all day: a pressure that needs to go away, a nagging that wonʼt quit, and a problem that seems to have no answer.
But there is an answer. Most often, the breakthrough comes when we do the things that arenʼt our natural response. God calls us to a higher level than what our carnal minds come up with on their own.
He calls us to live from faith to faith and glory to glory. That takes some effort!
It begins with shifting your focus from the problem over to God.
Do you want out of the cycles? Praise Him. Worship Him. Stop being consumed by your situation for a time, and shift your focus to the goodness of God. That is faith!. He is worthy of all your praise.
Shift your focus onto intimacy with Him. Even in the midst of your trouble. Yes! especially in the midst of your trouble). He is calling you to make some changes in your life and rise up and become even stronger spiritually.
Then, walk-in love. You might think, What does love have to do with paying my debt or meeting my targets?
The answer is Everything. Love is a powerful force. When you walk in love, wholly and completely, nothing can stop the power of God from moving in your life. You build bridges and relationships
On the other hand, if you are in bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride, you are going nowhere fast. You get isolated and self-serving.
God is Love—and without love, you are far away from Him. So spend time seeking the Lord, who is Love, about how you can grow in love. Love never fails.
