Without Love, We Are Nothing
“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2
We can have it all and look like we have it all together, yet we would be nothing without love!
What we do and what we have does not define us. We are defined by receiving His love and moving in His love.
We can be nice and encourage those around us yet be nothing.
We can be in church every Sunday and weekday service yet have nothing.
We can read our bibles every day yet have nothing.
We can be held in high esteem in church and in the society yet have nothing.
We can serve in multiple ministries yet have nothing.
These are all things and activities we should be doing, but we are nothing if we don’t have love while doing them!
God cares about the why. Why are we doing all of these things? Is it to feel validated? Do we feel obligated? Do we want to look and feel like good Christians?
Or is it simply the overflow of our love for Him?
When we know God, we will love God. When we love Him, we will want to be like Him. All we do will be filtered through His love and knowing that we are loved by Him.
Know that you are loved by Him.
Keep your focus on Him.
Love God, yourself and others.
The more time we spend with Him, the freer we will be to walk in true love.
