Are you a Pharisee?
Now the tax collectors and “sinners” were all gathering around to hear Him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Luke 15:1
Do you converse with unbelievers or you are too holy to talk to them? Have you become a pharisee?
The Bible shows us time and again that Jesus welcomed unbelievers, visited their houses so much so that the Pharisees noticed and were jealous.
You are the only Bible some unbelievers will ever read and God doesn’t seek the death of the sinner but that they may repent.
The way Jesus influenced the culture in His days was by interacting and engaging with unbelievers wherever they were, be it in their homes, neighborhood, marketplace, social media space, and all.
The Pharisees on the other hand isolated themselves from ‘sinners’ , infact, they didn’t even greet unbelievers.
They had so much air of superiority dipped in pride and arrogance that no one wanted to meet the God they represented.
I hope we are not becoming as arrogant as the Pharisees, feeling so puffed with knowledge that we forget we were saved by God’s mercy and grace.
Our saviour desires to save all, so let us be friendly to unbelievers, show them love and compassion perhaps then they will see Christ shine through us.
Heaven is big enough for the whole human race to live happily ever after.
Be like Jesus, don’t isolate rather interact, engage and influence.
