Stay With God
‘The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name…’ Acts 5:41.
Reading through Acts 5, It is interesting to see how God works to take the kingdom agenda to the ends of the earth.
To the nominal mind, it looks like the apostles were being disgraced and pushed back by the powers that be.
But if you look with a kingdom mind, the truth is that the old guards are simply afraid for their future relevance, and trying to play god instead of submitting to God’s agenda.
The real crux is that the apostles’ influence was on the ascendancy. The kingdom of God is advancing rapidly. The apostles knew this and rejoiced. The old order too knew this and were scared.
However, the crowd and the press are rather engulfed with the present hype, they have no insight into the real behind the scenes or they simply deny it for the fleeting moment of pleasure or excitement.
God is the unseen hand, removing the old and planting the new.
He uses unconventional ways, unusual circumstances, and even ‘negative’ experiences to push forth His kingdom and government.
Don’t be in a hurry to jump to conclusions regarding a divine assignment or strategy because of resistance or seeming danger. Stay with God!
The Bible says “But the righteous one shall live by faith”. Romans 1:17b, Hab 2:4b
Our journey is rated by faith, not by people’s feedback and opinions. We only treat feedback as general information not as source of validation.
The one who called you is the only one that can and should validate you.
Don’t take your clue from the immediate outcome either… rather let obedience be your yardstick and guideline. It may not seem popular now but be sure it is godly. This was the mindset of the apostles, it should be ours also.
If God called you, chose you, and leads you on, then you are living the indestructible life that will outlast everything.
Soon in this age, you will experience the victorious life you so desire and much more in the age to come.
