Wisdom of God
“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end, you will be counted among the wise.” Proverbs 19:20
It is important to seek and heed wise counsel, as emphasized in Proverbs 19:20.
This verse underscores the value of listening to advice and being open to correction and discipline, which leads to wisdom and discernment.
Wise counsel comes from those with experience, knowledge, and a heart aligned with God’s truth. It provides valuable insights, guidance, and perspective that help us navigate life’s challenges and make decisions that honour God.
By listening to wise advice and accepting discipline, we position ourselves to grow in wisdom and maturity.
However, the path to wisdom requires humility and teachability.
It involves acknowledging our limitations, admitting our mistakes, and being willing to learn from others.
When we humble ourselves and seek wise counsel, we position ourselves to be counted among the wise.
As we seek to grow in wisdom, let us be intentional about surrounding ourselves with godly mentors, counsellors, and friends who can speak truth into our lives. Let us also be open to correction and discipline, knowing it leads to greater wisdom and spiritual maturity.
