You Are Worthy
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:11
Whenever the twenty-four elders look at Jesus on the throne, they give Him glory, honor, and thanks.
Seeing Jesus’ beauty causes them to fall on their faces and cast their crowns at His feet. They realize that all of their accomplishments and all that they are are nothing and worthless compared to who Jesus is. They don’t need crowns or accolades; they just want and need Jesus. All that they are and all that they have comes from Him anyway. So when they look at Him, they cast their crowns and lay down who they are at His feet.
The elders declare that Jesus is worthy to receive all glory, honor, and power. They acknowledge that He created all things and that it was His will that all were created and have their beings.
What crowns can we too lay at His feet as we gaze upon His beauty?
Let’s join in with heaven, declaring that He alone is worthy to receive everything and that He alone is worthy to receive all we are. Lay your accomplishments at His feet. Lay your agenda at His feet. Turn your gaze to the worthy Lamb who sits on the throne.
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
