He Is Holy
“Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.” Psalm 99:5
Exalt means “hold (someone or something) in very high regard; think or speak very highly of. raise to a higher rank or a position of greater power.”
Jesus is already exalted and at the right hand of the Father, but we must choose to exalt Him in our lives and our hearts.
When we exalt Him, we join in with all of heaven, declaring He alone is holy and worthy.
When we worship at His footstool, we put Him in His rightful position and acknowledge that He is God and we are not. We come to His feet in a humble position and say everything is about Him and for Him.
His ways are better than ours. He has everything figured out, and we do not. It is coming in complete dependence, saying that we need Him.
When we say that He is holy, we are saying that there is no one else like Him. His holiness separates Him from everything and everyone else.
He is the only one who is perfect and worthy of our praise and adoration.
