I Remember
“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Psalm 77:11-12
God has done so much for us, yet we often forget all He has done.
We must learn to be intentional about remembering His deeds. We see a great example of this with the Israelites in Exodus. God would move miraculously, and a few days later, they would forget what He had just done. We are all just as guilty of forgetting what He has done for us.
So, how do we remember the Lord’s deeds?
We must meditate on them. Meditating means thinking deeply about them and keeping them at the forefront of our minds.
Writing them down and reviewing them regularly can help us remember them. Most of us don’t intend to forget what He has done, but when we are not intentional about meditating on His deeds, our minds will get distracted by other things.
Start a list of all God has done, continually add to it, and review it.
