He Has Risen
“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.’”
Matthew 28:5-6
On that first Easter morning, the world changed forever. The stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty, and the impossible had occurred: Jesus, who had been crucified, had risen from the dead! The angel’s message to the women who came to the tomb was one of profound hope and victory—“He has risen, just as he said.”
The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, the ultimate demonstration of God’s power over death and sin. It is the fulfillment of all that Jesus promised. His victory over the grave is not just a historical event, but a living reality that impacts our lives today.
The resurrection brings new hope to the hopeless, new life to those dead in sin, and the assurance of eternal life to all who believe. Death no longer has the final word; Jesus has conquered death once and for all, and through Him, we too can experience the power of resurrection in our own lives.
In our darkest moments, we can remember that the tomb is empty and that Jesus is alive. We are no longer bound by the power of sin and death. Because of the resurrection, we can live with confidence, knowing that we have victory in Christ, both in this life and in the life to come.
As we celebrate the resurrection, let us reflect on the amazing grace of God that brought us this victory. Let the reality of the risen Christ fill our hearts with joy, peace, and unshakable hope.
