The Rehoboth Mindset
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
Faith is built by exposure to God’s Word. The more we hear, meditate, and speak His promises, the more our faith grows in strength and clarity.
Isaac’s journey in Genesis 26 illustrates this beautifully. After facing conflict at Esek and opposition at Sitnah, he did not give up. Instead, he moved forward and came to Rehoboth, declaring, “Now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
This is the Rehoboth Mentality: a mindset that believes God will make space for us even after struggle. It’s a faith rooted not in fear of lack, but in confidence that God enlarges and provides.
But faith doesn’t stop at belief, it also creates.
“…upholding all things by the word of His power…” Hebrews 1:3
Just as God spoke creation into being, our words, when aligned with His, carry power. Creative faith is when we partner with God by speaking His Word into our circumstances. This is not mere positivity, but spiritual alignment.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” Proverbs 18:21
Our mouths are instruments of faith or fear. In times of spiritual attack, what we speak matters deeply. Words are weapons, they either affirm God’s truth or empower fear.
Ask the Holy Spirit to cultivate in you a Rehoboth Mindset; that walks forward with confidence, speaks with creative faith, and expects God to make room!
