In The Waiting, He Is With You
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Waiting is never easy. It tests our patience, faith, and perspective.
Yet, Scripture assures us that waiting on the Lord is not passive, it is deeply active. It is trust in motion. While we wait, God works.
The promise in Isaiah 40:31 is not just about the end result (renewed strength, soaring, endurance), it is also about presence.
God doesn’t leave you while you wait. He is near, shaping you, strengthening you, and drawing you closer.
Waiting invites you into intimacy. Into stillness where His voice becomes clearer. Like Moses who said, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” Exodus 33:15, we must desire not just outcomes, but His presence.
Don’t rush the wait. Don’t try to fill the silence. Wait on Him, and He will fill that silence with Himself.
Lord, help me to wait on You with confidence, not complaining. Let me not just desire the promise, but long for Your presence. Teach me to rest in You, and let my strength be renewed as I wait. Amen.
