He Is Listening
“Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.” Malachi 3:16
In a time when many hearts have grown cold, a remnant remains, those who still feared the Lord and honour His name.
They may not be preaching sermons or performing grand acts. They may just be simply speaking with each other sincerely. Yet, God is listening!
He is not distant. He is leaning in. He is hearing everything. Not just the prayers, but all their faith-filled conversations.
Today’s verse reminds us that our words matter, not just when we are praying, but even when we are casually speaking, about God, about life, about pur every day things, encouraging one another, or pondering truth together. Heaven is listening.
Our conversations are noticed, considered, and even recorded in a scroll of remembrance.
In a world full of noise and distraction, God pays close attention to the quiet faithfulness of those who revere Him. He treasures every word that honors His name. Even when we are not consciously praying, He hears.
I ask you, “what kind of words fill your conversations? Are they rooted in faith, love, and truth?
Lord, help me to honor You in my everyday speech. Let my conversations be filled with faith, truth, reverence and encouragement. Thank You for listening, even when I don’t realize I’m being heard. Let my words be found worthy of Your scroll. Amen.
