Heir of God
“So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:7
Sonship in Christ is not just a spiritual status, it is a posture, a new way of being in the world.
Many believers live like tenants in God’s house, timid, apologetic, always asking permission. But sons and daughters move through the halls knowing they belong.
This was the difference between the prodigal son and his elder brother. One thought he had lost his place forever. The other thought he had to earn it. But the father simply wanted both sons to understand: everything I have is already yours.
Through Christ, God doesn’t just forgive us, He brings us home and hands us the keys.
Sonship means access. It means authority under His name. It means we pray differently, speak differently, and carry ourselves as those deeply loved, fully welcomed, and eternally secured.
We don’t cower in the courts of heaven, we walk in as heirs. We don’t beg for scraps, we sit at the table.
Father, remind me that I’m not a visitor in Your presence. I’m Your child. Help me unlearn the fear of unworthiness and walk boldly in the access, authority, and inheritance that comes with being Yours. May I live like the house is mine, because You gave it to me in love. Amen.
