When The Spirit Comes
“Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.” Isaiah 32:15
There are seasons in life that feel like deserts, dry, fruitless, and silent. Dreams stall, strength fades, and everything around us feels barren. But Isaiah reminds us that the turning point in any life or any land is not human effort but divine outpouring.
“Till the Spirit is poured…” That’s the hinge. That’s the moment the barren transform into beauty.
The Spirit doesn’t just revive; He redefines. What once was called desert now becomes fertile, and what was fertile becomes abundant like a forest. The Spirit brings growth where there was only dust, abundance where there was only waiting, and joy where there was only survival.
This is what revival looks like, not just more activity, but transformed landscapes. Personal deserts become gardens. Dry hearts begin to bloom. God can do more in one moment by His Spirit than we can in a lifetime of striving.
Are you in a desert season?
Pray for the outpouring. Position your heart like dry ground beneath open heavens. When the Spirit comes, nothing stays the same.
Holy Spirit, come. Pour yourself into the dry places of my life. Turn what is barren into beauty, and let my life overflow with Your presence, Your power, and Your fruitfulness. Amen.
