Trust In The Lord
“Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” Romans 10:11
There’s a quiet fear many carry: ‘What if I trust God… and He doesn’t show up?’
But Scripture answers that fear with unwavering certainty, ‘those who trust in the Lord will never be put to shame.’
This is not a promise of a smooth, applause-filled life. It’s a deeper assurance, that God’s faithfulness will vindicate your trust. That in the end, your decision to cling to Him won’t leave you abandoned, mocked, or regretful.
Paul, quoting Isaiah, reaffirms it in Romans 10:11. Peter echoes it again in 1 Peter 2:6. And David, in the depths of his vulnerability, pleads with God in Psalm 25 and finds courage: “No one who hopes in You will ever be put to shame.”
Shame comes from misplaced trust, when we lean on what can’t hold us. But God is not fragile. He is a Rock. And when your confidence rests on Christ, your story, no matter how messy now, will not end in shame.
You may be misunderstood, mocked, or even mistreated for your faith, but your trust will be honored. He will come through in His time, in His way and He will glorify His name in your life.
Lord, thank You for being a God who never fails. Help me trust You when it’s hard, and remind me daily that my hope in You is never wasted. Silence the voice of fear and strengthen my heart to wait on You. I believe, You will not let me be put to shame. Amen.
