Joy Is Here
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Joy is not a destination. It is not something we must chase or wait to find in perfect circumstances. Joy is here, because the Lord is here.
Too often, we treat joy like a distant promise, something reserved for days without pain, seasons without stress, or victories without struggle. But Scripture shows us that true joy isn’t tied to comfort; it is rooted in presence, God’s presence.
Even in the middle of weariness, uncertainty, or grief, joy quietly arrives like light breaking into darkness. Not loud or dramatic, but steady and sure. It is the assurance that God is near, that hope is not lost, and that your story is still unfolding.
Jesus said, “Your sorrow will turn into joy” John 16:20. Not removed, but transformed. That’s the kind of joy He gives: one that is born through fire, matured in waiting, and full of strength. This joy doesn’t ignore reality, it redefines it.
So today, let this be your declaration: Joy is here.
Not because everything is easy, but because God is with me.
Not because I feel strong, but because I am held by the One who is.
Not because the night is over, but because the light has already come.
Lord, thank You that joy is not far off, it is already present because You are with me. Teach me to see it, to hold on to it, and to let it shape the way I live, even in the midst of challenges. Amen.
