Your Tripple Help (2)
“But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” Psalm 3:3
This verse should be your spiritual reality as it was David’s. Let’s consider it:
1. God IS the Shield
Not that God gives a shield.
That means He doesn’t delegate your defense. He personally stands between you and the attack. To reach you, the enemy has to get through God first. Like the wings of a mother eagle, He covers you. You’re not just hiding behind protection; you’re hidden in Him. Psalm 91:4.
2. God IS Your Glory.
The world ties glory to wealth, fame, beauty, success, etc. But what happens when all that fades? If you are in Christ, you are rooted in a deeper reality: God Himself is your glory.
No one can take Him from you, and so, no one can take your glory. It’s not in your bank account or social standing. It’s in your connection to the King of Glory. Psalm 24:7–10.
3. God is the Lifter of Your Head.
Your promotion is in God. When shame, loss, or failure bow your head, God lifts it. He raises you from heaviness into hope. He doesn’t havr to wait for conditions to improve, He promotes you in spite of them. Psalm 75:6–7.
So, you don’t have to defend yourself, your Defender is God.
You don’t have to search for validation, your glory is secured in Him.
And no matter how low life tries to bring you, your Head-Lifter is not done with you yet.
