His Word is Sure

“The Lord said to me, ‘You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.’” Jeremiah 1:12

In the opening chapter of Jeremiah, God gives the young prophet a powerful reassurance: He is not distant or indifferent to what He has spoken. He is actively watching, alert, intentional, and fully engaged to ensure His word comes to pass.

This truth is deeply comforting. It means God is not careless with His promises. He doesn’t speak and forget. He doesn’t delay out of negligence. Rather, He watches over every word He has spoken into your life like a gardener watches over seed in the soil, waiting for the right time, the right conditions, and the right season to bring it to full bloom.

God is watching:
– Over the promises in Scripture.
– Over the words He has whispered to your heart.
– Over the prayers you’ve prayed in faith.

Even when it seems like nothing is happening, even when time passes and hope feels faint, He is watching. He is working. And He will fulfill it.

God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19.)f He has said it, He will do it. His Word will not return to Him empty but will accomplish what he desires Isaiah 55:11.

Lord, thank You that You are faithful to Your Word. Help me to trust in Your timing and rest in the assurance that You are watching over every promise You’ve made. Amen
