Live To Love
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13.
Love is the very nature of God. Scripture tells us plainly: “God is love” 1 John 4:8. That means wherever love truly exists, God is near.
In a world that celebrates performance, appearance, and status, love often feels undervalued, yet it remains the most powerful and eternal force.
Faith is essential. Hope keeps us going. But love is what gives both their true meaning.
1. Love Reflects God’s Heart.
When we love, we echo the very heartbeat of God. Jesus said the world would know we are His disciples not by our preaching, titles, or miracles, but by our love. John 13:35.
2. Love is Costly.
True love sacrifices. It forgives. It bears burdens. It is patient when others are difficult, kind when others are harsh, and faithful when it is inconvenient. Love chooses the higher road, even when it hurts.
3. Love Never Fails.
Everything else can fade, gifts, prophecies, talents, but love outlives them all because love is eternal. It reaches into the heart of God and brings heaven into our everyday lives.
Who is God calling you to love today? Not because they deserve it, but because He has first loved you. Let love lead, whether it is in forgiveness, kindness, listening, or serving.
Lord, teach me to love as You have loved me. Not with words alone, but with action, sacrifice, and grace. Let love be my highest aim. Amen.
