The Delight of His Word
“Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart.” Jeremiah 15:16.
The Bible is really that book! A living, breathing expression of God’s heart toward us. Every page pulses with truth, comfort, wisdom, and love.
In a world filled with noise, confusion, and shifting values, the Word of God stands steady, a beautiful anchor for the soul.
It brings joy, not just because of what it says, but because of who it reveals: the God who created us, sees us, and walks with us. His promises lift our heads. His commands guide our steps. His stories remind us that we are not alone, and His presence fills the pages.
The Word is light in darkness, honey to the soul, a sword in battle, and a song in the night. It corrects, restores, heals, and revives. The more we read it, the more it reads us, and gently transforms us from the inside out.
To love the Word is to love the One who spoke it. And to spend time in it is not a duty, but a delight, a sacred conversation between the Father and His beloved.
Lord, thank You for the beauty and joy of Your Word. Let it never become ordinary to me. Open my eyes to see wonders in it, and let my heart delight in every line. May Your Word be my daily bread, my deepest joy, and my sure foundation. Amen.
