He Loves You

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

This verse contains the whole gospel.

It shows us that the source of man’s redemption is God’s love.

It also shows us the extent of God’s love for us – God gave His one and only Son.

It equally shows us how the redemption was accomplished – by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

It further tells us how to be saved – by believing in the Son of God.

It reveals to us who exactly will be saved – whosoever believes in Jesus Christ.

It shows us what the salvation is – deliverance from perishing and the gift of eternal life.

From the above, we see clearly that anyone who truly believes in Jesus is saved and has eternal life. This should fill us with joy and bring comfort to our heart.

It is true. God loves you us much that He was willing to let His Son come to earth, be mistreated, and ultimately die for your sins so that you could become His child too. That is love that’s beyond understanding.
