A Wealthy Place
“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” Psalm 66:12.
Life often takes us through storms that feel like they will overwhelm us, fire that scorches, water that drowns. Sometimes, it seems like people trample over us, circumstances press us down, and all we can do is survive.
But God never wastes a journey.
Psalm 66:12 is my witness, and a declaration from people who went through it and came out transformed. The fire purified. The waters didn’t drown, they cleansed. And the pressure, It refined the soul for purpose.
The “wealthy place” God brings us into is more than physical abundance. It is a place of spiritual depth, wholeness, wisdom, and rest. It is the outcome of a process God carefully navigates us through, even when we don’t understand.
David, Joseph, and even the Israelites knew this pattern: affliction, refining, then restoration. What felt like a breaking was really a making.
If you are walking through fire or flood right now, hold on.
Keep trusting God in the middle of it, you are not just going through, rather, you are going to! And what is ahead is not just survival; it is a wealthy place!
Lord, help me trust You through the fire and water. I know You are leading me somewhere deeper, fuller, and richer than I can imagine. Refine me through the trial, and bring me into the wealthy place You have prepared. Amen.
