All For Me
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
The crucifixion of Jesus is one of the most paradoxical moments in all of history. It was unspeakably brutal, marked by thorns, lashes, nails, and blood. Yet, it remains eternally beautiful, a divine act of love, mercy, and redemption.
Jesus didn’t just suffer a physical death. He bore the full weight of divine wrath, God’s holy judgment against sin, though He Himself was sinless. The spotless Lamb carried the filth of humanity, absorbing every accusation, every curse, every consequence. He took it all.
On the cross, justice and mercy kissed. God did not overlook sin; He dealt with it fully in the body of His Son. And in doing so, He opened the door for grace to flow freely to all who would believe.
The cross is not merely a symbol of suffering, it is a symbol of victory, healing, and reconciliation. The wounds of Christ became the wellspring of our peace, our restoration, and our hope.
When we think of the cross, we see both the horror and the hope.
Lord Jesus, thank You for enduring the agony of the cross for me. Help me never take lightly the cost of my salvation. Let my life be marked by the gratitude, surrender, and love that Your sacrifice deserves. Amen.
