All In
” Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Matthew 16:24-25
When you look back in time, more often than not, the greatest moments are the moments when you went all in. This is as true today as it was the day Abraham placed Isaac on the altar, the day Jonathan climbed the hill to fight the Philistines, the day David faced the warrior Goliath, and the day Peter got out of the boat and walked on water!
It is time to quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. It is time to go all in and all out!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ costs us nothing but demands everything of us. It demands that we go “all in,” putting all that we have into God’s hands!
We may be afraid that if we go all in that we might miss out on what this life has to offer, but this is not true, for the only thing you will miss out on is everything God has to offer.
It is all or nothing.
It is now or never.
It is time to wake up and go ALL IN with God.
The message is simple: if Jesus is not Lord of all then Jesus is not Lord at all. It is all or nothing.
Kneeling at the foot of the cross of Christ and surrendering to His Lordship is a radical act of dethroning yourself and enthroning Christ as King. It is also an act of disowning yourself. Nothing belongs to you. Not even you.
Are you ready to go All-In for God?
