Bound By Blood
“Now may the God of peace… make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ…” Hebrews 13:20–21.
The Covenant we have is more than a mere promise, it is God binding Himself to us with divine intent. And not just through words, but by blood. The new covenant we live under was signed in the blood of Jesus, unbreakable, irreversible, and backed by heaven itself.
This is not a casual agreement. It is a sacred arrangement where God says: I will be your God, and you will be My people. It means He takes responsibility for our future, our growth, and our victory. It means we are not trying to earn favour, rather, we are walking in secured grace.
This covenant gives us:
– Access to God’s presence.
– Assurance of His promises.
– Authority to walk in His purpose.
When God cut covenant with Abraham, He walked through the sacrifice alone, signifying that He would uphold both sides of the agreement. That’s the kind of God we serve, a God who carries us when we cannot carry ourselves.
So when fear whispers or failure knocks, remember: your standing with God is not built on your performance, but on a covenant sealed by His Son. You are held by something stronger than your past, more powerful than your weakness: the covenant of grace.
Lord, thank You for your covenant. I know You will fulfill every word You’ve spoken about me and to me. Help me to live boldly, love deeply, and trust fully, because Your covenant can never be broken. Amen.
