Dance In Thanks
“David danced before the LORD with all his might.’ 2 Samuel 6:14
Too often we are hesitant to dance, but as Solomon in his wisdom said, “…there is a time to dance.” Ecclesiastes 3:4
Life is not meant to be a solemn, morose affair. It is not meant to be endured. It is meant to be lived, which includes working, sleeping, eating, loving, hurting, weeping, laughing, and yes, dancing.
There will always be difficult times, but don’t let them completely steal your joy and your desire to dance.
Take delight in the God who loves you whatever the season you find yourself in. Trust the fact that he will surely make everything work for your good.
Don’t hesitate to dance in gratitude to God, for the joy of being alive, of being loved by the Almighty so much that he sent his son to die in your place and for the assurance of eternity with him where there will be no more sickness, crying or pain.
We give thanks to God not because of how we feel but because of who He is.
“Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.” Psalm 149:2-3
