Don’t Abort It
“So I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” Acts 26:19
Purpose is powerful, but it is not automatic!
God’s plans for your life are sure, but they require your partnership, your obedience, and your alignment. Heaven can ordain a calling, but your choices can either protect or derail it.
Consider Samson.
He was born with divine intention, a Nazirite from birth, anointed to begin the deliverance of Israel from the Philistines (Judges 13:5). His strength was legendary. His calling was clear. But Samson treated his purpose casually. He played with boundaries, ignored warnings, and allowed personal desires to override divine direction.
He still had moments of power, but purpose was slipping.
Eventually, Delilah wasn’t just a distraction, she became the doorway to derailment. Samson revealed his secret, lost his strength, and was captured. The man who was meant to deliver Israel became a prisoner himself.
Yet even in failure, God’s mercy lingered. In his final moments, Samson cried out to God, and purpose flared again but at a cost.
The lesson here is that, Purpose is not just about beginning well, it’s about staying aligned. It’s about making daily decisions that guard the assignment on your life.
Your purpose requires purity and it also demands discipline. Your purpose calls for surrender.
Don’t play with what God gave you to steward.
Don’t exchange divine destiny for momentary pleasure. Like Paul, be able to say, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.”
Father, thank You for the purpose you have for me. Help me not to treat it casually or allow distractions to derail it. Strengthen me to walk in obedience, protect my assignment, and live in full alignment with Your plan. I choose to partner with You. Amen.
