Fixed
“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early!” Psalm 57:7-8
Repetition is used in the Scriptures to show importance and conviction. The Psalmist here used the phrase my heart is fixed twice, deliberately to show his determination despite all that is happening around him.
David got his heart fixed on worshipping God no matter what happens, he settled on a position of praise to God, determined to rise early and use his instruments in adoration and worship whether the circumstances are favourable or not.
Are you fixed like this too?
Let nothing rob you of your Ministry of Worship to the Lord.
Do not restrict your praise worship to only Sunday services or public fellowships.
Revive your altar of praise today!
Don’t let your feelings dictate your praise.
Get up early and worship God, even if you can’t seem to find any reason to.
Put on the music, dance, sing and even if you feel that you can’t sing, just make a joyful noise unto the Lord in worship.
Let your heart be fixed on exalting your father and see Him rise in His glory and power
