God’s Leading
“After this interview, the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.” Matthew 2:9
In Matthew chapter 2, we read that the star went ahead of the wise men from the east and stopped over where Jesus was but before that, they went to Herod’s palace. The star didn’t lead them to the palace. They on their own must have reasoned that the palace is the logical place to find the newborn King.
They assumed that a physical king will recognize the supernatural King.
Many times God leads us but we get to a stage when we begin to use logic and human reasoning to navigate our path thinking we now know better.
We believe we’ve grown in stature and rank now so we read more books and less of the Bible.
We feel God should work in a certain way, and we are simply tired and bored of the setup that has guided us through the years.
The truth is that if the Holy Spirit, prayer and fellowship brought you out of oblivion, the same Spirit will lead you amongst kings into your full joy.
You need to keep following the ancient landmark. The dealings of God with you are still valid, check with him before making any stopover or detour.
Don’t finish in the flesh what you started in the Spirit. Don’t interpret God with things, interpret things with God.
