He Listens, He Answers
“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12–13.
Sometimes it feels like our prayers go unnoticed, like we are whispering into the wind. But the story of Jabez teaches us something deeper: God not only hears, He remembers and responds.
Jabez’s name meant sorrow, but his prayer was full of faith. He dared to believe that God could rewrite his story. And God did.
God didn’t require perfection. He responded to sincere, heartfelt prayer. That means your voice matters. Your cry is not too small. Your request is not too much.
God is not moved by eloquence but by earnestness. When we pray, even quietly and humbly, heaven leans in.
Be assured of this:
– Prayer is not about convincing God, it is about aligning with his will and purpose.
– God answers not just to change our circumstances, but to transform our story.
– Even if your past is painful, your prayers can shape a powerful future.
Father, thank You for being the God who listens. Like Jabez, I bring my heart to You, honestly, boldly, and expectantly. Rewrite my story. Enlarge my territory. Let Your presence go with me, and keep me from harm. I trust You, and I wait on Your answer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
