Held In His Right Hand
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine… I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 43:1, 41:10.
The right hand of God reveals closeness and honour.
In ancient cultures, the right hand wasn’t just about strength; it was the place of honor, intimacy, and relationship. To be at someone’s right hand meant you were chosen, cherished, and trusted.
In Isaiah, God speaks tenderly to His people. He doesn’t just fight for them, He holds them.
The right hand of God becomes a place of belonging. You’re not dangling at the edge of His grace, you are firmly upheld, embraced, secured in the strongest hand in the universe.
Think of Peter in Matthew 14. When he began to sink after walking on water, it was Jesus who immediately reached out His hand and caught him. That’s the right hand of God in action, present, personal and protective.
The right hand of God talks about where you are, close to His heart and steady in His love.
Rest in this truth: You are not slipping. You are held.
Lord, thank You that Your right hand uphold me when I’m weak, steady me when I stumble, and keep me close when I feel alone. I belong to You. Amen.
