His Grace Is Sufficient
“But He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough – always available – regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Right in the middle of his trials, the Lord impressed upon Paul that His “Grace IS Sufficient…”
Note that the Lord did not say “My Grace SHOULD BE sufficient…” or “My Grace WILL BE sufficient…” no, He was emphatic, “…my Grace IS sufficient…”.
Right there in the middle of the battle, Grace is at work! God’s grace is released in the exact dose that the believer requires.
It is never released in a manner that leaves the believer begging for more or augmenting by his own feeble strength and ability.
God’s grace is enough because it is backed by God’s limitless Power. “For my Power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor 12:9).
As long as we act like we are strong enough we will experience a seeming scarcity of grace, but if we will daily acknowledge our weakness and need for the Lord, then we will see Grace perfectly at work all around us.
Just like Paul, I will rather be “weak” and experience Grace than be haughty and suffer lack.
Embrace God’s grace and cease from the struggle. It is your season for Grace and Favor.
