His Perfect Will
“…..you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2b
You too may have whispered “Thy will be done” through tears, when things didn’t go your way. Yet, hidden in those words is a wellspring of encouragement: God’s will is good, pleasing, and perfect.
It doesn’t always feel like it. Sometimes, His will leads us into unfamiliar places, detours we didn’t expect, closed doors we prayed would open, or delays that feel like silence. But what looks like a dead end to us may be a divine reroute.
God’s will is not cold or careless, it is deeply personal. It carries the weight of His wisdom, the care of His love, and the certainty of His plan. He sees what we cannot, protects us from what we don’t understand, and prepares us for more than we imagine.
Be encouraged: if God is in control, then you are not lost.
You are held. You are guided. And even when things don’t go according to ‘your plan’, nothing has slipped from His hands.
So when you pray “Thy will be done,” say it with hope, not fear. You are not surrendering to chaos, but to a God who loves you deeply and leads you faithfully.
Lord, help me to trust that Your will is better than mine. When I don’t understand the “why,” give me peace to keep walking. Fill me with courage to follow, joy to wait, and confidence to rest, knowing that Your will is always working for my good. Amen.
