His Promises Are True
“Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'” – Ezekiel 37:11-14
D.L. Moody in his book “How to Study the Bible” described the preciousness of God’s promises this way:
“Let a man feed for a month
on the promises of God, and
he will not talk about his poverty. . . .
If you would only go from Genesis to Revelation
and see all the promises made
by God to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob,
to the Jews and the Gentiles,
and to all His people everywhere;
if you would spend a month feeding
on the precious promises of God,
you would not go about . . .
complaining about how
poor you are, but you would lift up your heads
with confidence and proclaim the riches of His Grace,
because you could not help it.”
The Lord keeps His promises and gives us a hope. That hope is in Jesus Christ.
Thank the Lord that His prophesies and promises are true and you can trust in Him.
Jesus is the yes to every promise of God.
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
