In the Hands of the Potter
“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8.
There’s something deeply comforting about knowing that our lives are not random, and our pain is not wasted!
We are not forgotten or left to figure it all out on our own. We are clay, in the hands of a loving, intentional, and masterful Potter.
God, the Potter, is shaping our lives into something far greater than we could ever imagine. He sees the beauty even in the broken places. He applies pressure where it’s needed, gently molding us, removing what doesn’t belong, and patiently forming us into a masterpiece, His very own masterpiece.
In Christ, we belong to Him. We are not abandoned work in progress, we are chosen, being refined for glory.
Every joy, every tear, every delay, every breakthrough is part of the shaping process. He is not finished yet, but His hands have never left us.
Romans 8:28 is my witness, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Even when we don’t understand the process, we can trust the hands. He is crafting something eternal. And when He’s done, what will be seen is not just a beautiful vessel, but the image of Christ formed in us.
Father, thank You that I am the clay and You are the Potter. Shape me, mold me, and use every part of my life for Your glory. I trust Your process, and I rest in Your hands. Amen.
