Keep Hope Alive
“The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.” – Proverbs 10:28.
The words – Hope, expectations, dreams, and aspirations seem to be endangered in today’s media vocabulary.
With so many failed political leadership, poor economic indices, despair, and evil occurrences besieging us through the news, it is quite easy to become increasingly despondent and depressed.
But it ought not to be so. God has made us creatures of Faith, Love, & Hope and we thrive where these exist. And now abide faith, hope, love,… 1 Cor. 13:13.
Hope is thetefore very necessary if we are to have a healthy and fruitful life.
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. – 1 Thess. 5:8.
Because hope is vital, God gives us dreams and imaginations which are essentially pictures placed in our hearts to inspire and spur us to keep taking that step. It is an expectation that the dream in our hearts will come true. If you lose this emotional expectation then the joy of the walk disappears.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 reads For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
