Live The Word
“With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me stray from Your commandments. I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes.” Psalm 119: 10-12
How much of God’s word do you have in you?
When was the last time you spent an hour on the living word?
But you know how easy it is to spend two hours on tik-tok, Instagram or X.
Now, if someone looked through your social media accounts, would they find evidence that you’re a Christian?
Do people at your workplace or in the community know you’re a Christian?
How do you behave behind closed doors at home towards your family?
It’s not enough to read God’s Word daily; you must practise its principles consistently.
The psalmist writes: ‘Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. …I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your Word. I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path’ (Psalm 119:97-105 NKJV).
The Bible becomes living words when you decide to live according to its principles and precepts each day.
