My Help Is In You
“I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
When life presses so hard that we find ourselves whispering, “Lord, I need You now.” The pressures, the uncertainties, the disappointments can feel like waves crashing endlessly. You look around for answers, for a rescue, and it feels like nothing and no one can help. But this is where true faith begins, not in our own strength, but in that quiet lifting of our eyes to the One who never fails.
The psalmist didn’t look to the hills for help, he looked beyond them. He realized that true help was not in the visible but in the invisible hand of the God who made heaven and earth.
When you say, “My help is in You,” you are surrendering the illusion of control. You’re placing your weight, your needs, your urgency in the hands of a faithful Father. And He responds, not always in the way we expect, but always in the way that is best.
God’s help is not delayed. It is timed.
Not absent, but often unseen.
Not small, but often subtle.
And always, always, rooted in His mercy.
Don’t be ashamed to ask. Don’t be afraid to wait. He knows your need, and His help is already on the way. Hold on, God is closer than the storm.
Lord, I need You. Not just for solutions, but for strength. Not just for answers, but for peace. I look to You alone, my hope, my help, my hiding place. Let Your mercy find me. Let Your help lift me. My help is in You.
