Never Alone
“Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” Hebrews 13:5
From the day we turned to God to the day we are laid to rest, we are never alone. From saying yes to Jesus Christ till we speak our very last word, we are never alone. From taking our first step in Christ till we go to rest, we are never alone. From salvation to the grave, we are never alone.
In Joshua 1:5, God says: “I will always be with you; I will never abandon you. This is emphasized in Hebrews 13:5. Yet we forget his promise when we listen to the doubts sowed by the great deceiver and believe that God is no longer by our side.
How is it that we so easily forget the promises of God? When the truth is that every promise God made in His Word applies to us also.
Just as God promised Moses, He is promising us that He will go with us, and give us the victory. Exodus 33:14.
God spoke to Isaiah and still speaks to us saying “Do not be afraid – I am with you! I am your God – let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.” Isaiah 41:10.
He promised that When we pass through deep waters, He will be with us. Our troubles will not overwhelm us. When we pass through the fire, we will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt us. Isaiah 43:2.
Jesus said: “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper (the Holy Spirit) who will stay with you forever.” John 14:16.
He further assured us that “God will put his angels in charge of us to protect us wherever we go.” Psalms 91:11.
“And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.” – Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:20
