No Condemnation!
“When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is, that she is a sinner.” Luke 7:36-39
As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to seek how to help as many as are willing to leave the misery and bondage of sin rather than gloat over their spiritual failure.
Let us remember that God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save it! John 3:17.
His desire remains to restore all strayed men to God and not to cast them away from Him!
Jesus will welcome all people regardless of their moral state.
If while being guest of a deeply religious man called Simon, Jesus gave audience to the GOOD (the righteous) as well as to the BAD (the unrighteous), He expects us to do the same.
He did not judge or condemn people based on their moral state but rather sought ways to help them out of it once they showed by their act of repentance that they were willing to embrace His Pardon.
So be careful not to judge people, for God’s heart is ever more open to the cry of a truly repentant and sincere ‘sinner’ than to the boasting of a self-righteous man.
Let us be careful not to pass hasty judgement on anyone because of their UGLY past but rather offer them the hope of forgiveness and the inner healing that the grace of Jesus already provides through His Death and Resurrection!
In Jesus Christ’s Name, the hold of sin is broken! Romans 8:1
