No Doubts Allowed

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6

God is a generous giver in every way. In James 1:5, we read that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God, and that He will give us what we need.

God’s Word lights the path before us in every situation and trial. Our dependence on Him and His Word gets us through it, strengthens us, and conforms us to His image.

In James 1:6, we read that when we ask for wisdom, we must not doubt. We must believe that God is faithful to help and guide us. Doubting causes us to be shaken and tossed by our circumstances. We must stand firm in God and on His Word even when we don’t understand or have answers.

God has all the answers, and as we seek Him and rely on Him, He will give us the wisdom we need for our current situation.

He is a good Father and wants us to endure everything we face. He knows the perfect way and will use the process to mature us and make us more like Him.
