No Need To Fear
“The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
Fear is one of the most powerful emotions we face as humans. It creeps in when the future is uncertain, when challenges seem too great, or when we feel exposed and vulnerable. But David writes with unwavering confidence, not in his own strength, but in the unshakable presence and protection of God.
God is called light, meaning clarity in confusion, hope in darkness, and guidance in uncertainty.
He is salvation, your rescuer, your deliverance from danger, sin, or despair.
And He is a stronghold, a place of safety that cannot be breached.
David had enemies, battles, and threats, yet he refused to let fear reign in his heart because he knew who stood with him.
This same truth applies to you. No matter the size of the challenge or the depth of the storm, you have a light that cannot be dimmed and a fortress that cannot be shaken. You are not alone. God is with you, defending, guiding, and strengthening you.
Lord, You are my light, my salvation, and my stronghold. Help me to walk in that confidence, even when fear knocks at my door. Remind me daily that with You, I have no reason to be afraid. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
