Raised With Christ
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” Colossians 3:1
As believers, we are not only forgiven through the death of Jesus, but we are also raised with Him to new life.
Colossians 3:1 reminds us that our identity is now rooted in Christ, and we are called to live with an eternal perspective.
This verse challenges us to set our hearts on things above—on the heavenly, eternal realities that are ours in Christ.
To be “raised with Christ” means that we share in the victory He accomplished over sin and death. It means our lives are transformed, not just in the future but right now.
This transformation gives us a new outlook on life, where we no longer live for earthly things but for the things of God.
The call to set our hearts on things above is a call to prioritize the things that truly matter: our relationship with God, eternal truths, and the purpose He has for us. When we live with our hearts fixed on heaven, the distractions and temptations of the world lose their hold on us. We are empowered by the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life with Christ.
