Redeeming Love
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13.
To redeem is to buy back, to restore what was lost, and to pay the price for someone else’s freedom.
It’s more than a rescue, it’s a complete restoration.
Redeeming Love is not cautious or calculated. It is fierce, unwavering, and written in blood.
And Jesus is its perfect expression.
He didn’t wait for us to clean up our mess.
He didn’t love us from a distance.
He stepped right into our brokenness, clothed in flesh, nailed to a cross, buried beneath our shame, and rose to rewrite our story.
He was slapped, spat on, and humiliated, right in front of His mother.
Beaten, mocked, stripped, and crucified like a criminal.
Yet in the midst of pain, He prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
He who formed the universe was crucified by the very ones He came to save.
He washed Judas’ feet, and was still betrayed.
He healed their sick, and was still condemned.
He loved perfectly, and was still rejected.
He knew the cost.
He saw the depth of our brokenness.
And still, He said, “I choose you.”
At the cross, Jesus carried every failure, every secret shame, every wound.
Because His love doesn’t stop at forgiving, it redeems.
It reaches into the ashes and brings beauty from the ruins.
*This love:*
– Bought us back from sin and death
– Restored our identity as children of God
– Freed us from shame and filled us with purpose
– Wasn’t deserved, but was freely given
You’re not loved because you’re flawless.
You’re loved because He is faithful
Jesus didn’t just save you,
He redeemed your past, your name, and your future.
Lord, thank You for Your redeeming love. I am forever grateful.
