Rejoice In The Lord
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4.
Joy is a principal constituent of the kingdom. That’s why Romans 14:17 says ” for the kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
One of the very first assurances we have as new believers from the finished work of salvation is joy unspeakable. You feel such a tangible measure of inner joy and peace that words cannot explain it. You are just joyful no matter how your day goes.
The bible further says “with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” Isaiah 12:3.
So also when in an atmosphere of intense praise, worship, prayer, or bible study, many times you literally feel a fountain of joy gushing within. You wish time could stand still as you soak in His presence.
Intimate fellowship with the Father brings so much joy and even the devil knows how vital joy is in the life of a believer that he makes it a priority target. He is always spreading counterfeit substitutes to steal our joy through what we hear and see.
Unfortunately, the hustles and bustles of day-to-day life tend to distract us such that we trade the joy of the Lord for moments of pleasure that are fleeting.
We tend to allow our circumstances, situations, finance, relationships, and people’s opinion determine the level of joy we walk in and we are so anxious and worried about what tomorrow holds that we hardly have time to rejoice in what we have at present.
In Philippians 3:1 and 4:4, we are reminded to REJOICE ALWAYS. No matter your outstanding bills, or your financial, marital, or social status.
Rejoice! You are more than a conqueror.
Rejoice! You are destined to thrive and overcome.
Your Father is the God of joy; you belong to the kingdom of joy.
Rejoice! sadness, depression or sorrow must not hold you down.
Rejoicing is our culture, our way of life. Do not allow your mind to play games on you. Cast out every depression, leave the disappointment, let go of regrets and take your joy back. Never romance the loss or failure.
Your expectations will manifest, and your hope in God will happen. Speak forth God’s promises over your life. Sing a song of praise. Let the force of joy continually boom in your heart, your end will be greater if only you will keep the force of joy.
