Revive Us Again
“Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us Your salvation. I will listen to what God the Lord says; He promises peace to His people, His faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly.” Psalm 85:6-8
To revive means to restore and bring back to life.
With the chaos all around, it can be easy to take our focus off of Jesus and put it on what we see or don’t see.
We start to look at what is going on and never look back to Him. We can lose hope and become weary.
Think back to Peter on the boat and walking on the water to Jesus. When Peter’s eyes are on Jesus, everything was okay. However, he only started sinking when He looked at the storm instead of Jesus.
This does not mean that we are ignorant or unaware of the storm, but that we are more aware of God in the middle of the storm.
We need revival in different areas of our lives, and Jesus is the only One who can bring dead things to life.
He shows us His love, and it changes everything. He saves us and continues to deliver us. Jesus promises peace and joy!
We can have both even in the middle of chaos.
Regardless of what is going on, we have to know God’s word and listen to what it says. That means that we have to obey it and follow it.
